Day 189/365: Selfie Saturday

In an attempt to get better pictures I tried to get the kids to hang out nearer to the windows in our house today. I have learnt that high ISO pictures are not even worth printing most of the time. My aim in to use a higher aperture and a lower ISO, while still keeping the shutter speed above 1/125 or 1/200 if there is a lot of movement. I am also favouring the centre focal point as I am not convinced that the outer ones are getting the job done. I am also using the Expodisc as much as I can be bothered to.

f/2.5; 1/100; ISO 400

f/2.5; 1/200; ISO 800

f/2.5; 1/250; ISO 800

Overall I am pleased with the results and feeling a bit more hopeful.

I also ended up having a huge selfie session with mixed results. I switched to the programme modes as back button focus is too fiddly when taking selfies. Most had very poor composition or focus but some of them are definitely keepers. I'm going to do this more often. Imagine what I could do with a 35mm.
